FGC General InformationPublic WorkstationA remotely accessible public workstation is available to FGC Customers. Click here for an instruction sheet. For Windows users there is a client you can download and use. For MAC, Linux and Windows users who do not wish to use the client you can also access this workstation through a JAVA enabled web browser. Mailing List AccountWe have a new account on the mail listing server. For those of you wanting to receive e-mails from us with special announcements on service changes, news and events from FGC follow the instructions below.Instructions for FGC mail list accountSend and e-mail to Majordomo@maillist.urmc.rochester.edu with "subscribe fgc your e-mail address" in the body of the note. Example of the e-mail note:subscribe fgc corelab@urmc.rochester.eduThe email address you set may be any valid address to which you'd like to receive our messages. Once the e-mail note is received an e-mail from the server confirming your registration will be sent to the address you entered. If you have any questions or comments please contact us at 585-276-9999 or e-mail us at FGC NanoDrop SpectrophotometerThe Nanodrop is a free service offered by FGC and is located in Medical Center room G7415. Please see user manual for more detailed information. To log into the PC, 2 logins have been established for your use. The login IDs are med center and river campus. The passwords are the same as the login IDs. Remember to bring a diskette or thumb drive to take your data with you. The Nanodrop is unavailable on Thursday mornings from 8:45 to 10:45. Once you have an account CLICK HERE to download WinSCP. CLICK HERE for instructions on how to install WinSCP and configure it. Once configured Login using the ID and password supplied.If you are an INTERNAL University of Rochester customer and running Windows: Click on Start then Run. In the Open field type \\ntgenechip.urmc.rochester.edu\data_share. Then click the OK button. In the window that opens find the directory name that was given to you. Click to open that directory. If you are asked to login type urmc-sh\(your login id) and then the password you use to access the University of Rochester's network. Once open drag and drop the data files to the location you want them to be.
